5 Summer Skin Tints

Summer is usually the moment when heavy foundation starts feeling like one step too many. Skin tints and CC creams are much easier to live with: they soften uneven tone, keep the complexion looking like actual skin, and often add that fresh finish we want when the weather gets warmer.
These five options approach the job differently, from barely-there coverage to targeted redness correction.

Sundays BeautyScreen Mineral Peptide Foundation Tint SPF 50

Rating: 9.5/10 | Price: around €48
If you like the idea of skincare, tint and sun protection sitting in one tube, this is probably the most complete option here. BeautyScreen has a semi-fluid texture that spreads easily and leaves a fresh, softly radiant finish rather than an obvious layer of foundation.
The formula includes polyglutamic acid, peptides and olive-derived squalane, while SPF 50 makes it particularly appealing for summer. What I like most is the balance: it still looks natural, but there is enough tint to make the complexion appear noticeably more even and polished.
This is the one I would reach for when I want my skin to look healthier without looking heavily made-up.

Erborian CC Crème SPF 30

Rating: 9/10 | Price: around €40
Erborian takes a slightly different route. The cream initially appears almost colourless, then encapsulated pigments develop as you blend it into the skin.
The result is light, fresh and softly luminous, making it especially appealing if you dislike seeing obvious foundation sitting on your face. It also comes with SPF 30, which is a useful bonus for daytime wear.
The main drawback is the relatively limited shade range compared with a traditional foundation collection. I would definitely test the shade before buying, but if one works for you, the finish is beautifully effortless.

Lumene CC Color Correcting Cream SPF 20

Rating: 8.5/10 | Price: €21.90
This is the most affordable option in the group, and also one of the most practical. Lumene gives noticeably more coverage than a sheer skin tint, so it can soften mild redness and uneven areas without turning into a full foundation.
The finish is more natural-satin than overtly glowy, which makes it a good choice for summer if you want fresh-looking skin without too much shine.
It is also the product I would suggest if you want slightly more correction while still keeping your base lightweight. For the price, it offers a very convincing middle ground between a tint and foundation.

Erborian CC Red Correct SPF 30

Rating: 9/10 | Price: €23.90 for 15 ml / €44.50 for 40 ml
This one has a much more specific job. The pale green tone is designed to visually neutralise redness before adapting into a more natural-looking finish as the product is blended.
The updated formula includes 2% Centella asiatica and panthenol, alongside SPF 30. Coverage stays light, so the result feels more like perfected skin than traditional colour corrector.
I would look at this one if redness is the main thing bothering you rather than texture or pigmentation. It works particularly well when used sparingly — too much green corrector can quickly defeat the purpose of natural-looking makeup.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Tint

Rating: 9/10 | Price: around €40
Hydro Grip feels more modern and playful than a traditional CC cream. The texture is lightweight and gel-like, with enough flexibility to build the coverage slightly without losing that skin-first finish.
The formula includes hyaluronic acid, squalane, niacinamide and aloe, so it has a distinctly hydrating feel. On the skin, it gives that fresh, slightly dewy effect that works particularly well with minimal summer makeup.
The only real downside is the lack of SPF, so sunscreen still needs to sit underneath. If you mainly care about lightweight texture and a hydrated finish, though, this is one of the strongest options here.

Which One Would I Pick?

For the most radiant summer finish, Sundays would be my first choice. If you prefer the classic CC-cream idea with very natural-looking coverage, Erborian CC Crème is easier to wear day after day.
For visible redness, CC Red Correct makes the most sense, while Lumene is the practical option if you want a little more coverage without spending as much.
And if your ideal base is fresh, hydrated and slightly dewy, Milk Makeup fits that mood perfectly. There is no single winner here — the better choice depends on whether you want glow, redness correction, extra coverage or simply that “my skin, but better” effect.
